Im keeping the classes going for as long as people need them, the recent turnout has been great, and people were dedicated enough to train in the soaking wet weather, so theres no way I can stop the classes now, theres too many super great people who want the classes to go on. NY Parkour Landmark Gone!

New York is a spot less today, as the Javits Center Fountains (the spot for the New Yorker demo) were demolished recently. Many of us spent some time atop these fountains, some went up there with David Belle, and we all had thought about the giant precisions at the top. I still remember when Id make a big precision, id always have the infamous Javits precision in the back of my head, and Id mark how clse or how far off I was from getting it, sadly now those of us that did go up there to scout the jump now wont get a chance to do it. Right now theres no news on why they were demolished or whats planned to be put up in their stead. Photo and thread here

Our very own Exo has been in Europe, specifically France, where hes been training hard in Lisses with a steady stream of international traceurs. He had the opportunity recently to train with Laurent and some of the other Yamakasi for a week. Click here for his brief from abroad. As of now Exo is in the UK, training with all sorts of cool people, many familiar names in the Parkour world, expect updates soon.

What: Non-stop training/movement for 12 (or more) hours, person by person, hour by hour.

Class expansion.

We turned 3 today, and were celebrating this weekend. It all kicks off with our Anniversary party this Friday, May 30th, at Superfront in Brooklyn at 9pm, and your all invited! Directions and more info can be found Here
And On Sunday will Have our Anniversary Jam Starting at Roosevelt Island at 11am and continuing on throughout the city ending Downtown. More info on that Jam will hit the Jams page today.

NYPK Winter Classes wrap.

It was our third year of classes, and we picked up on the conditioning end a bit more as the classes wore on, and we were very happy to see people come out stronger, happier, and more capable in the end. We were glad to see everyone that came out, and were very impressed by some of the regulars. We hope to be back bigger and stronger in winter '09.

Once again It's time for our annual City long Marathon spearheaded by community member Miles Himself, but this time instead of just the length of Manhattan, NYPK members will be Covering some of Brooklyn and New Jersey as well. Uploading the site
All the pages are up, and rebuilt from the ground up. Ill still be working on it as the days wear on, but like I said, it needed a serious face lift. Refresh your browsers several times, if the new version doesn't load.
Apart from the spelling errors, let me know what you guys think, for now Im off to find a way to script the editing multiple div content, and if anyone knows of a script (barring security issues) that allows for that ability, gimme a shout.

New Site, New Threads.

Well I put the new site together kinda fast, so there might still be functionality issues. Shoot me an email @: NYPK@nyparkour.com
to report bugs, and usability issues. Not all the stuff is there yet, its going to require live work, and Im in a rush to update already,
the old design is dated at best, and the new site is going to integrate us with the global network a little more. Well see what comes of
the new steps.
Also we've got plenty of shirts for sale, were gonna do the paypal thing for the most part, and the link should be up in the next 2 days.

The site works just fine in Firefox, and IE, also Safari doesn't seem to show any quirks. That said, nothing is guaranteed, the design is simple, because I didnt wanna overload it and have people sitting at their computers even longer than they need to.

PKNA Parkour Radio.

Kaos will be hosting a weekly internet talk radio show where people can call in and talk about anything related to Parkour. The show is currently scheduled for every Sunday evening at 11PM Eastern, 8PM Pacific. The first show will last half an hour. Ideally the show will be driven by people calling in with their questions, comments, and news. Topics can span from jams to pk politics to pk video games and any thing else.
