Ive confirmed with my own two eyes, the famed Brooklyn Banks is now fenced off and locked down in order to serve as the staging area for reconstruction of the Brooklyn bridge for the next five years. The world famous skate park was often called the greatest skate park in the world because "It wasn't supposed to be one". It also served as a regular spot for the New York Parkour community, and will always be special to us because it served as the site of our outdoor classes for many years. The banks were a real hard core no frills vibe, and I cant remember ever getting bothered by anyone for the years we spent training there. It wasn't the greatest are for training Parkour but it was one of the few places we were really free to do whatever we wanted, and some cops even admittedly wanted to join in. Im not exaggerating when I say that I am going to miss the banks, a lot.
